Many of our NRI clients are getting refund failure intimations from Indian Income Tax Department.
In that case, please follow the below steps:
- Login to your Indian Income Tax Account
- Go to My Profile>>My Bank Account> Re-Validate your bank accounts. You shall revalidate the bank account even if you have done this few month back.
- Once it is done, after few days, please check the status of Validation of your bank account. If it is successfully validated and nominated for refund then go to My services>>Refund reissue>> file a refund reissue request.
In case, you bank account is failed in validation process despite of giving correct details then please follow the below steps:
1) Please write an email to efilingwebmanager@incometax.gov.in through the registered email id. Registered email id means id which is registered in your online income tax account with Indian Income Tax Department.
2) Explain your case and mention your name, Date of birth, contact number or you can enclose a request letter in this regard.
3) Upload in ZIP format a Pan card copy, Error-screenshot and a Pass book front page or Cancelled cheque copy to show the bank details. Make sure, file enclosed in email shall be in ZIP format only.
Please note, refund will be credit only in NRO or saving bank account. It will not credit in your NRE bank account directly.
If you are getting errors while working on new income tax portal and you have filed grievance many times and still you haven’t got any resolution then also you shall follow the same steps:
1) Please write an email to efilingwebmanager@incometax.gov.in through the registered email id. Registered email id means id which is registered in your online income tax account.
2) Explain your case and mention your name, Date of birth, contact number or you can enclose a request letter in this regard.
3) Upload in ZIP format a pan card copy, error-screenshot and any other document related to it.
We have resolved many issues like registering the DSC, e-verification, resetting password etc in the same manner for many of our NRI clients.
You can also call income tax department at +91 8046122000 from your registered number for your questions. But most probably they will ask you to send an email to efilingwebmanager in the same manner as mentioned above.
Please note: In my last blog I mentioned about resetting password of an Income tax account, now new DSC option has started working for the same. So now, you can reset the password of online income tax account using new DSC as well.
